WHY THERAPY?

So much is different in all our lives. The world is not the same as it was and will continue to evolve monthly, weekly, daily and by the hour. These changes are not always negative, but the transitions can be scary, unknown and anxiety provoking. How can we manage this shifting sand beneath our feet? Therapy can be one resource we can use to remain grounded and present during these dynamic times.

I’d like to welcome you to Transitional Counseling where I specialize in Somatic Therapy, specifically how we can regulate our nervous and limbic systems to keep from being “hi-jacked” into old memories and beliefs causing us to become ungrounded from the present moment.

If you are curious about Somatic Therapy, please take a moment to look through my website, and click on the various links to review the information. For additional questions you can call me at 907 240-1465.  My office in Homer (1225 Lakeshore Drive) and has availability 7 days a week.

Thank you, and I look forward to meeting you-Lucy Mahan LPC, CDC II
